KENT FALLS STATE PARK |
From Route 7 in Kent, cross Bulls Bridge, a covered timber truss built in 1842. The 109-foot-bridge spans the Housatonic River. Explore the village of Kent, and pick up takeout lunch at one of several spots, such as The Kent Market, Panini Café & Gelateria, or Strobles Baking Company.
Take your picnic to Kent Falls State Park. Cross over Kent Falls Brook via by a 37-foot covered pedestrian bridge, built in 1974. At the park, enjoy your lunch by a dramatically cascading waterfall. Hike the quarter-mile trail alongside the falls. |

CORNWALL BRIDGE POTTERY |
Drive across the Cornwall Bridge, built in 1841. The 242-foot-long covered timber truss bridge spans the Housatonic River.
Visit Cornwall Bridge Pottery. Known for its hand-crafted wood-fired pots, the store also features the work of glassmakers, woodworkers, metalsmiths and other artisans. In the workshop, watch potters ply their craft and shop for “seconds,” pottery with minor imperfections. |
