| Description: | Visitors will learn what happens on the farm in the winter and also get to meet Holly, a red Holstein calf who was born on Thanksgiving Day. Horse-drawn wagon rides will take visitors to see the cows and view the farm, and if there is snow on the ground there will be sleigh rides, too. On the walking tour, visitors will learn about the workings of this Connecticut farm and the importance of Connecticut’s Farmland Preservation Program. After the tour, everyone will be able to sample the two newest flavors of The Farmer’s Cow ice cream, Muddy Boots Knee-Deep in Chocolate and Farmland Crunch™ as well as other fresh local products from The Farmer’s Cow. |
