The Eagle Flyer is a unique two and half hour round trip eco-excursion in the Connecticut River Valley. Trees striped of their foliage afford clear views of the surrounding forest and the Connecticut River; wildlife can be observed from the cozy confines of heated vintage rail cars. Master Wildlife Conservationists will be on board to share their knowledge of the wildlife that calls the Connecticut River Valley home.
The Eagle Flyer is pulled by vintage diesel engines and departs from Essex Station. The train makes stops at Deep River, Chester and Hadlyme Station to pick up passengers. First Class seating offers indivdual leather back chairs and cash/cred card food and beverage service at your seat. Enjoy a sandwich and a warm bowl of soup, all made fresh right at the railroad. Coach seating offers padde back bench seating and the opportunity to walk to the onboard dining car for food and beverages purchases. Both First Class and Coash care are heated for winter comfort.
The Eagle Flyer takes flight February 16-18 and February 23-24, 2019; space is limited on this popular excursion.
