Seal Splash

February 16

One of the most rewarding sounds for staff and volunteers in the Animal Rescue Program is a SPLASH!

From the first splash of a healing harbor seal entering the med pool to the animal’s ultimate dive into the ocean on release day – to us, a splash means SUCCESS.

You too can make a splash – join the fun and take the plunge to raise money for Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program!

Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Team acts as first responders for animals in need along the 1,000 miles of coastline throughout CT, RI and Fishers Island, NY. Our team of staff and volunteers provide specialized and compassionate care for the rehabilitation of stranded and injured animals with the ultimate goal of releasing them back into their natural habitat. To date the Aquarium has responded to more than 1,500 stranded seals, whales, dolphins, porpoises, sea turtles and even a manatee.
