Built in early 1784, this center chimney Colonial home and carriage house was formerly, The Old Mystic Book Shop. There are eight well-appointed guest rooms named after New England authors. All guest rooms  have a queen size bed, private bath, fireplace and two with standard size whirlpool tubs, quilted coverlets and the works of each of the authors. The main house has original hardwood flooring, woodwork, decorated with antique and reproduction furnishings, the keeping room and dining room. The carriage house is a modern Victorian style home, each guest room has a private entrance, berber carpeting, custom chair rails, and pencil post canopy beds,  Complimentary refreshments are available and a  full hearty gourmet breakfast is served each morning by chef and owner Michael Cardillo, Jr. The property with its white picket fences, stonewalls, gazebo, perrenial gardens,and large oak trees, completes this well maintained and special property. Come relax and enjoy traditional New England Hospitality at its best!
