Sabino

Enjoy a ride aboard one of the oldest wooden, coal-fired steamboats still in operation. Half-hour and 90-minute cruises depart from the Sabino dock at Mystic Seaport mid-May through Columbus Day, weather permitting.

More than 100-years-old, the steamboat Sabino was built in Maine in 1908 for passenger service on the Damariscotta River located in Maine. The vessel was formally designated a National Historic Landmark in 1992 and now glides along the scenic Mystic River for your family's enjoyment.

Sabino cruises can also be chartered for your private event. Your cruise will begin at Mystic Seaport and travel three miles down the Mystic River to Fishers Island Sound. The maximum capacity for a Sabino charter is 75 guests, including musicians engaged for the cruise. This U.S. Coast Guard regulation is strictly enforced.

Museum admission is required for Sabino's half-hour cruise, but is not required for the 90-minute, downriver evening cruise. Senior, AAA, active duty military, college student and member discounts are not available for Sabino cruises.
