Nestled among 100 acres of conservation forest and a private, 12-acre pond, Still Waters is an artist-owned bed and breakfast retreat center in the Last Green Valley of Connecticut. Still Waters offers artfully appointed, clean, rustic and comfortable lodging. It has a newly built, year-round main house with five guest rooms, a master suite and an outdoor water-view dining deck. Two waterfront cottages and a five-bedroom guesthouse are open seasonally. A separate studio includes a massage room and is available for workshops. Close by the pond is a sunrise yoga deck and a natural spillway meditation swing. Guests can enjoy hiking the sculpture trail and viewing the colonial sawmill foundation and powerful waterfall dam originally built in the 1700s.

Since 1968, Still Waters hosted groups from all over the world, mostly the Tristate area but also as far as China. The LaBossiere family offered rustic, camp-style accommodations. In 2010, Tao and Amy LaBossiere re-launched Still Waters after 15-year hiatus. Tao and Amy were operating the business seasonally until a major house fire in the Spring of 2014 shut down the property. Part of the main house was deconstructed and rebuilt from 2016 to 2017.

Today, Still Waters provides accommodations for group leaders in holistic, creative, social justice, and educational genres. Still Waters hosts our own monthly R&R retreats for individuals and couples providing them with a chance to unplug and relax in nature.

Still Waters is a woman-owned, husband-and-wife-run business, with Amy LaBossiere as managing partner and Tao LaBossiere as Visionary partner. Tao manages the physical property and grounds, while Amy handles the business side. Their creative balance keeps the momentum going.
