  • The town was settled by a group of men who were originally from Fairfield, England.

  • Jennifer Rizzotti. Women's Basketball Hall of Fame winner.
  • Walter Gordon Merritt. Attorney for the employers in the first Danbury Hatters' case (1902) which ended at the Supreme Court.
