June is Pride Month, and there are LGBT celebrations and events planned for towns all over the state. Here are some of the happenings taking place in Connecticut.

"Gay Gatherings: Philip Johnson, David Whitney and The Modern Arts"

This exhibit underscores an essential element of the site's history that has not been fully presented as part of its public interpretation up to this time. It exhibits the Glass House as an intellectual and artistic gathering place.


"Won't be Erased: The Permanence and Significance of Body Art and Modification in the Queer Community"

May 6-June 30, 2019

The exhibit showcases the works of Beck Doty and Sam Jannetty and explores the significance of tattoos in the LGBTQ culture.


New Haven Pride Prom

May 17, 2019

A safe and inclusive prom for LGBTQ+ youth (13-18). Dance and have a good time in downtown New Haven with DJ music, photo booth and live performances.


Fairfield PrideFest - Stonewall 50th Anniversary Block Party

May 18, 2019

Outdoor Glow Block Party with food, vendors, open mic, DJ entertainment and much more.


"As You Are: 50 Years After Stonewall"

May 18-19, 2019

Concert pays tribute to "those heroes who have championed the movement through history," according to the chorus.


Midnight in Paris - "Born the Way" Fashion Show

A fun fashion show showcasing talented models dressed in drag, followed by dancing with raffle and a silent auction.


"Kinky Boots"

Foxwoods Resort Casino, Mashantucket
May 31-June 2, 2019

Based on true events, this huge-hearted hit musical tells the story of two people with nothing in common - or so they think.


Connecticut LGBT Film Festival

Cinestudio Theater at Trinity College, Hartford
May 31-June 8, 2019

The Connecticut’s LGBT Film Festival is a nine-day festival featuring films, documentaries and shorts to our community. Most screenings are at Cinestudio (Trinity College) in Hartford. Additional theaters around the city include Real Art Ways and the Wadsworth Atheneum.

A Brief History of Connecticut's LGBTQ Community: A Traveling Exhibit & Digital Timeline

The exhibit consists of eight pop-up banners and explores the idea of the LGBTQ community becoming a community and finding its voice.


Middletown Pride Festival

A family-friendly celebration with music, games and much more.

Queer Prom - "Dancing Under the Stars"

June 21, 2019

For all LGBTQ youth and their allies. Event for ages 13 to 18 and well chaperoned with food, dancing, DJ and floor show.


"Be Seen: Portrait Photography Since Stonewall"

Event includes a celebration of events in various locations throughout Hartford. The activities include music, a themed party, a bar crawl, and much more.
