A variety of special events and activities are planned for the day. At the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, visit the gardens and landscape that inspired a generation of artists. Get creative and pick up all the painting supplies necessary to make your own masterpiece in the garden or down by the river. Grounds admission is free; regular admission applies for historic house and gallery.

At the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, visit the gardens and landscape that inspired a generation of artists. Get creative and pick up all the painting supplies necessary to make your own masterpiece in the garden or down by the river. Discover more about the landscape using one of the Museum’s “Explorer Kits.” Take a tour with one of our gardens volunteers and ask questions to learn more about our historic site.

Grounds admission is free; regular admission applies for historic house and gallery.

Can’t make it on June 23? We hope you will plan visits to some (or all!) of our garden sites throughout the year – pick a few sites near you, or plan a day trip to explore new territory!

Remember to use your Passport – bring your CT’s Historic Gardens brochure (or pick one up at any of the member gardens), have it stamped at three locations, and you’ll receive a free packet of garden-themed notecards.
