During the months of April and May, the Association will be presenting lectures every other Thursday. The first, on April 16, will be by Sarah Stifler Lucas, whose atmospheric nocturnes and interiors capture a sense of warmth and connection. Next, on April 30, Zufar Bikbov will speak about how he creates his vibrant still lifes and landscapes. On May 14, Harley Bartlett will lecture on creating liturgical murals – a combination of trompe l’oeil and religious subject that has ancient roots and contemporary application. Finally, on May 28, renowned bird artist Michael DiGiorgio will speak on studying and painting birds. Lectures are open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m., preceded by a half-hour wine and cheese reception.
