The restored Captain William Bull Tavern is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been welcoming visitors since 1745 when the main house became a popular way-station for travelers in Colonial times.
Now the Tollgate Inn, 20 guest rooms and suites have been restored with a meticulous respect for detail. Many feature canopied beds and working fireplaces. We try to recreate the feeling you'd have staying in the country house of close friends.
The historic Captain William Bull Tavern received a complete renovation to the kitchen in 2003, and is open for dinner and cocktails.
