New England is known for mouthwateringly fresh seafood, and Connecticut is right in the heart of it. Late summer and early fall bring annual seafood festivals and events to towns statewide, not just along the shoreline. Here are a few of the largest.

The Milford Oyster Festival not only features 19 varieties of oysters, but this year their headliners will be Blue Oyster Cult and The Marshall Tucker Band. One of Connecticut’s summer highlights, the festival offers a treat for seafood lovers, families and music fans too.
