Staehly Farm Winery is the first winery in Middlesex County to offer fruit wines made from apples and other fruit grown on the farm. The farm is located on sprawling acreage close to Gillette Castle State Park on Route 82, and also offers greenhouses and 18 acres of award-winning choose-and-cut Christmas trees. The winery offers tastings in its tasting room from May through October (current wines available for tasting as well as pricing available on its website) and is also a member of the Passport to CT Farm Wineries. Also on-site is a New England-style hard cider tasting barn featuring wine and hard cider flights and beverage service by the glass.
