Current & Former NFA Art Faculty Show
For the first time in over two decades, Slater Museum will present a Current & Former NFA Art Faculty exhibition in the museum's Converse Art Gallery. Since 1890, NFA's vibrant art program has produced students who have gone on to become acclaimed artists all over the country, trained by some of the most dedicated and accomplished professionals in the field of fine arts.
As we celebrate the 135-year legacy of NFA's Art Program we are excited to showcase the diversity of experience, media, and vision that our teachers have contributed over the course of many generations. To complement the array of pieces submitted by current art faculty, a large body of pieces from former faculty members will also be featured, including a large number of pieces by the early founding directors and art faculty from the early 20th century. Legacy pieces from the permanent collection of Slater Museum by artists such as, Margaret Triplett, Charlotte Fuller Eastman, Joseph Gualtieri, and more will be on view including recently-conserved pieces by former Art School Director Ozias Dodge.
