Deep Relaxation: A Conduit Center Fall Sound Healing with Essential Oils
Experience a deeply grounding evening of sound and stillness. Yoga teacher Amy Thompson, E-RYT 500, joins the gifted musicians of The Conduit Sound to guide you through a restorative journey of meditation, sound healing, and relaxation.
The evening will open and close with guided meditation, with the centerpiece being a sound healing immersion. You’ll be surrounded by the soothing vibrations of singing bowls, chimes, gongs, and other instruments, while the room is softly infused with therapeutic-grade essential oils to deepen your sense of calm.
Sound therapy is both passive and participatory: as you lie down, slow your breath, and rest in stillness, your body and mind naturally open to receive the vibrations of sound. This practice helps you arrive at a meditative state, much like a mantra leads to stillness.
To stay comfortable, many participants bring a blanket, pillow, or eye covering, and dress in layers. The practice involves no yoga postures other than seated rest and shavasana (lying down), making it accessible to all—whether or not you practice yoga.
