Celebrating the history of New Milford, this local museum complex features a main gallery building connected to the Knapp House (c.1815), the first bank in town c.1822, and a 1796 Mercantile Store.

The New Milford Historical Society & Museum has both permanent and temporary exhibits on view at the Society. The main gallery contains works by artists Ralph Earl and Richard Jennys, Connecticut furniture, New Milford pottery. Special events; research on local history and genealogy.
