“I believe it was mid-late afternoon, let’s call it 4pm. I used my iPhone. No filter but I always use the editing tools in Instagram to get the photo how I like it. I visited that restaurant as part of a series of stories I was doing about lobster rolls on the east coast. I live in New York city, a friend of mine who grew up in Clinton told me about the spot.” — Andrew Z.

“June- Father's Day weekend; I took this picture right before the sun started to set; iPhone6S; yes, I put a simple IG filter, but no Photoshop; My boyfriend is from East Lyme and his family loves Captain Scott's. This was a Father's Day celebration- all of the grandchildren wanted to take Grandma and Nonno out for some traditional New England Seafood and show me (the girl from Southern California) how Connecticut does lobster rolls.” — Christine

“I took this back in April 2016 while having lunch with my boyfriend and his mom at Stowe’s. I had never actually had a lobster roll before, so I felt that this was a perfect chance to capture a memorable moment. Being from California, it was great to have some real east coast seafood right on the beach overlooking the sound. I took this on my iPhone 6 and used an Instagram filter when I posted it.” — Olivia G.

Jonny Ad's is the place to be! ;-)” — Haley J.

“Great lobster roll, great service, and great ambience. This was shot in early June, around 1pm on my iPhone at Fords Lobster. All I did was bring up the saturation a few points. We chose that restaurant because we were down in the Groton area for the day, just cruising around, so we popped in for lunch. I live in CT.” — David R.

“We visited Connecticut in June and had to try this place. Nothing is better than a lobster roll from the Northeast in the middle of summer! I used an iPhone and adjusted the lighting some on Instagram. It was taken midday at lunch.” — Pass the Yum
