Overlooking Niantic Bay, McCook Point Park consists of a beautiful bluff between two white, sandy beaches. On the bluff, where the McCook summer home once stood, is a green lawn shaded by copper beeches perfect for picnics, games or quiet, relaxing times.

From the Point you can see Fisher's Island, Plum Island and Orient Point across the Long Island Sound. Throughout the seasons of the year, the bay is alive with fishing boats, sailboats, mirgrating and resident birds, and even seals.

Open year-round; from Memorial Day to Labor Day, beach passes are required for access. Season and Day passes may be purchased at the East Lyme Parks and Recreation office located in the Community Center on Society Road. Day passes can also be purchased 7 days a week at the Hole-In-The-Wall Beach entrance (Baptist Lane off Main St.) or Saturday's and Sunday's only at the entrance to McCook's Beach.
