Indoor Fun for the Young at Heart in the Litchfield Hills Last Updated 1/21

Whatever the weather is like outside, the fun is non-stop inside, throughout the Litchfield Hills. From auto racing to escape rooms to virtual golf to axe throwing (yep!) and more, there are lots of unusual attractions to challenge and delight the adventurer in you! All of these are open and following strict safety measures due to COVID-19. Just be sure to check with each location before venturing out, as hours and activities may change.

Escape 101, Danbury

If you are looking for a unique and challenging group entertainment experience, Escape 101 has a mission for you! Your team of players (typically 4 to 10 people) will enter a themed-puzzle room which is then locked shut. A timer is set for 60 minutes, and in that time, your team must collect clues and solve a series of puzzles in order to retrieve a key or code to unlock the door and escape the room before time runs out (each team can get up to three “hints” if they get stumped along the way). All game rooms are thoughtfully designed to offer an immersive experience with unexpected twists that require thinking outside of the box as you collect and decipher valuable clues. Think you are up for the challenge?

Brookfield Indoor Virtual Golf, Brookfield

Take your best swing at The Road Hole at St. Andrew’s, the 7th Hole at Pebble Beach or the Island 17th at Sawgrass at Brookfield Indoor Virtual Golf, day or night, in a climate-controlled environment. Each Simulator Suite has its own television, tables and plush couches for a true VIP experience, including a full bar and food service by adjacent Maggie McFly’s. The Brookfield Indoor Virtual Golf is the perfect private space for your next party or corporate function!

Monster Mini Golf, Bethel

Who doesn’t love mini golf – especially the glow-in-the-dark, monstrous kind? But don’t be fooled by the name – Monster Mini Golf in Bethel also features a Ropes Course, Laser Maze, Laser Tag and Arcade for hours of safe, clean, family fun. Bumper Cars and Mini Bowling coming soon. Reservations are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.

Brass City Raceway & Axe Throwing, Waterbury

At Brass City Raceway philosophy is simple: NO SPEED LIMIT – whether you are trying to lap your friends around a high-performance track in Italian go-karts, challenging your buds to an axe-throwing match, perfecting your swing in a batting cage or playing arcade games. A BYOB facility (beer and wine only), Brass City Raceway & Axe Throwing will take your event from ordinary to extraordinary.

Wigwam Escape, Washington

Want to get a real feel of how Connecticut’s native people lived back in 1518, when they had to hunt for food and search for water just to survive? The Wigwam Escape is the award-winning escape room designed to transform the usual museum experience from viewing history to living it! This 90-minute thematic puzzle game is the perfect outing for three to five of your besties as you are set up in a traditionally sourced wigwam to figure out clues in order to get back to the 21st century.

Oxford Axe Throwing, Oxford

Grab some beer and get your axe down to Oxford Axe Throwing, where you can book a lane for up to four players and enjoy a friendly competition of axe hurling. Trained ‘Axe Masters’ will instruct you on the proper throwing technique and safety guidelines before any throwing begins. Think of it as log cabin camaraderie that’s guaranteed to be on target for an unforgettable evening. Private groups of 12 or more welcome!
