Seasonal fun awaits you at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center. The 118-acre property is home to Heckscher Farm, an 18-acre working New England farm with heritage breeds of animals; the Stamford Observatory, open for viewings of the night sky on Friday nights; Heckscher WILD!, featuring exotic animals from across the globe; Overbrook Nature Center; the Bendel Mansion, once the summer home of famed New York retailer Henri Bendel, which now houses museum galleries with changing exhibitions and pieces from the Museum’s permanent collection; an otter pond; and more than 80 acres of hiking trails.

Year-round classes and programs are offered in art and nature, for children and families. Family festival weekends and special events are hosted throughout the year.  The SM&NC’s Wheels in the Woods Trail provides a universally accessible nature trail for visitors. The Museum also features Art, Nature and Me, a Connecticut state licensed preschool. The student's preschool experience is enhanced by the museum's amazing site.

Bring friends and enjoy a picnic on the Meadow, take a hike on one of the nature trails (Trail #7 is universally accessible), drop in to the Heckscher Farm and say hello to the animals, and don't miss the latest exhibition in the Stamford Museum's Galleries.  Come discover, learn, and enjoy!
