A Living Landmark
Closed in 1967 by the Federal Government, the historic granite and limestone Post Office building we call home remained vacant for nearly 30 years. When used as a post office, the Willibrew dining room was the post office work room; our pub was the customer lobby; and the private dining room housed the Postmaster’s office. Although extensive renovations have been made to the building, we retained the early 20th-century architecture while creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for dining.
Remnants of post office memorabilia add to the flavor of the restaurant. Featured in our dining room is a 12’ x 17’ mural—created by Gordon MacDonald—depicting a 1930’s Main Street scene. A 60’ mahogany bar—crafted by Peter Huckins—is the centerpiece of the pub. Please feel free to explore our main floor and discover all our hidden treasures.
Fresh Beer Brewed Here
Viewed from our dining room, our 7 bbl brewery produces our freshly-made—and uniquely named—handcrafted beers. Over a dozen different beers are brewed each month.
In addition to our own beers, we have over 30 different craft brews on tap, many from New England, and serve a wide-variety of bottled domestic and imported beers.
Our post office-themed menu features over 100 different items, each as delectable as their name is unique. Known for our award-winning wings and nachos so large they garner media attention, our menu also boasts steak, burgers, pasta, seafood, spicy, vegetarian, gluten-sensitive and low-carb choices.
