Fun & Festive New Year's Eve Celebrations Last Updated 4/16

Ring in the New Year at one of Connecticut’s festive New Year’s Eve and First Night celebrations! Be sure to plan an entertaining outing of celebration and cheer with family and friends this year. Here’s what’s in store for welcoming in the New Year:

Family celebrations

Celebrate the New Year through the arts at First Night Hartford 2017! This multi-cultural, artistically unique, family-friendly event features musicians, artists, performance groups and exhibits – plus two dazzling fireworks shows (6 pm and midnight) in Bushnell Park. Explore civic and cultural venues such as The Old State House, Wadsworth Atheneum, Center Church, Charter Oak Cultural Center, Hartford City Hall and State House Square. There’s comedy, face painting, dancing and free ice skating in Bushnell Park until 1 am! The downtown Hartford event begins at 2 pm.

You’ll find fun for all at First Night Westport 2016 including activities for children, teens and the young at heart! From music, magicians, face painting and square dancing to star gazing, horse-drawn carriage rides, palm readers and comedy shows, there’s something for everyone at this community celebration. Festivities begin at 4 pm.

Grown-up Fun

Make your resolution to party in style – at New Year’s Eve at Mohegan Sun! The “Party into the New Year” gala inside the Uncas Ballroom on December 31 includes music, a champagne toast and 1 am breakfast buffet. Or, join the Concourse Celebration in The Shops at Mohegan Sun!
