Take a Stroll in the Garden

Moms love flowers. Get her more than just a bouquet when you visit some of Connecticut’s loveliest gardens. Try Roseland Cottage in Woodstock, Mohegan Park’s Rose Garden in Norwich, Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Wickham Park in Manchester for a stroll or picnic among the flowers, or the Hollister House Garden in Washington. Litchfield’s White Flower Farm is a great place to wander among the gardens and greenhouses in a particularly beautiful setting. Or, pick up something a little different at Logee’s Greenhouse in Danielson or Gilbertie’s Herb Gardens in Westport.

Plus, from April 30 through May 2, the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington is hosting its annual May Market. And here are some other great Connecticut garden spots for spring and summer.
